Ages

We group children into three age classes which allows’ us to implement programming that is both developmentally appropriate and cognitively demanding.

SPARKS (3-4 YRS): Counsellor to Camper ratio is 1:4 in this age group. (Children in this age group must not be in diapers. Pull-ups are acceptable.) Camp Castlesaurus rex is a great introduction to camp life for your preschooler! Allow your child to flourish and learn while socializing with older children in a fun and stimulating environment. Our low ratios and experienced staff ensure a safe and high quality of care for your child.

FLAMES (5-6 YRS): Counsellor to Camper ratio is 1:5 in this age group. As our intermediate age group your child will benefit both from being a mentor to our youngest campers while also learning from their older peers. Our low staff to child ratio allows us to gear our programming to the specialized needs and interests of each camper. The eldest members of this group also participate in a weekly swimming program.

BLAZES (7-8 YRS): Counsellor to Camper ratio is 1:6 in this age group. Our most senior campers play a very important role in our camp as mentors to all of the other groups. The Blazes have the most extensive programming and benefit from more involved and challenging activities. This group also participates in a weekly swimming program.
